Environmental Activists Retreat
A three-day retreat for people who are working to protect the environment on a daily basis. This retreat utilizes nature immersion to reconnect us to the roots of environmental advocacy and rekindle the motivation to continue to defend and preserve the Earth.
Trip Overview
In a world overburdened by people and industry, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the seemingly endless array of environmental crises. We offer this immersive retreat as a way to reinvigorate, revitalize, and reinvest in ourselves to sustain our beliefs and actions. This is an opportunity to disengage from the frenetic world of environmental activism, the hot heat of August in the lowlands, and the hubbub of a busy election year. This retreat represents an opportunity to re-engage with the natural world, the mountains of West Virginia, and fellow environmental activists.
Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia, our basecamp at Camp Horseshoe will serve as an ideal place to relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with the natural world. It will also serve to connect with like-minded folks and rekindle the motivation to return to environmental advocacy work. We will offer day trips featuring canoeing, whitewater rafting, daily yoga sessions, and ample opportunities to fish in Horseshoe Run and the Cheat River. We’ll also have regular discussions on the environment, activism, and concepts of sustainability. Spending time in nature with like-minded individuals can keep us moving in the right direction. Please join us!
